Dreams, Doubts and Viral Hits

It all started as a bit of a fluke for me. Coming from a family where education was paramount, music was never viewed as valuable—if anything, it was almost considered a waste of time. My relatives reinforced that view, so I kept my passion for music a secret. In school, I started as a keyboard player in the choir, sneaking in time for music whenever I could. What fueled me most was the need for a space of my own, away from expectations and pressure. That’s why I decided to move to the U.S. for my master’s degree. Once I had that space, I could finally focus on my passion without fear of judgment. I began putting myself out there, and to my surprise, some of my social media reels started reaching a million views! That’s when it hit me: I didn’t have to choose between my IT career and my passion for music. I could actually pursue both. This revelation was a complete game changer for me.

Throughout my journey, I’ve faced numerous struggles, both professionally and personally. Balancing corporate life with music has always been tough, but it wasn’t just about managing my schedule—it was about handling the constant emotional hurdles. Coming from a background that prioritized education, my family initially saw music as a distraction and often criticized my dedication to it. I was torn between meeting their expectations and honoring my creative side. Moving to the U.S. offered me the freedom to explore music fully, but life was often fast-paced and lonely. There, I was managing everything on my own—work, music, and personal life, which was anything but easy. I faced heartbreaks and relationship challenges that weighed heavily on me. During those tough times, I would experience emotional breakdowns, struggling to keep it all together.

Then came another layer of criticism, this time from strangers. Some accused me of imitating Shahrukh Khan in my videos, which was both frustrating and demoralizing. Being a huge SRK fan, I found solace in his words: *"Success is not a good teacher; failure makes you humble."* Whenever things got tough, I channeled my energy into creating and improving. Small wins like my reels going viral or hitting 100K subscribers kept me going, reminding me of my purpose. Through it all, I’ve learned to embrace the criticism, endure the corporate grind, and balance my personal life—knowing that my passion is my ultimate driving force.

Balancing a full-time corporate job with my passion for music has been one of the most challenging aspects of my life. Finding time for both required me to get creative with my schedule. I began organizing my weeks carefully, dedicating weekends and evenings to music production—whether that meant shooting videos, recording, or editing. In the beginning, I lacked the necessary skills for music production, like mixing, mastering, and video editing, so I taught myself everything, one step at a time, by watching tutorials and experimenting on my own.

After a full day at work, I’d often feel drained, making it hard to transition into creative work. To manage that, I developed personal strategies to recharge in between. Taking short breaks or going for a walk helped refresh me before diving into my music projects. Staying consistent with my music was difficult, especially when work got hectic, but I made it a point to work on something each day, even if it was as small as writing down ideas or tweaking a mix. This daily connection with music kept my passion alive, no matter how busy life became.

My future plan is simple: I want to keep pursuing my passion for music, no matter what. My hope is that one day, the world will recognize my talent on a larger scale. I aim to grow my audience by gaining more followers, subscribers, and increasing my presence on platforms like Spotify and other streaming services.

This journey has brought me numerous achievements, each one validating my hard work. My music now streams on platforms around the world—it feels surreal knowing people everywhere are listening to my creations. I’ve taught myself editing, mixing, mastering, and releasing my own audio, allowing me full creative control. Managing my corporate career while staying committed to music has been a huge achievement. And reaching 100K subscribers? That’s something I did on my own, and I couldn’t be prouder.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but with each challenge, I’ve grown stronger and more resilient. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: when you truly love something, you find a way to make it work. And for me, that love will always be music.
