Mic Magic and Milestones
I never thought my passion would become my profession. It all began quite unexpectedly — I was asked to host a friend’s wedding. That evening, something clicked. As I held the mic and saw the crowd respond with laughter, cheers, and genuine joy, I realized this wasn’t just a one-time favor. It was a moment of clarity. If I could bring happiness to people through my words and energy, maybe this is exactly what I was meant to do.
Coming from a typical Indian family, there were certain expectations — a secure job, a stable salary, a conventional career path. So when I decided to leave my job and take a leap of faith into the uncertain world of anchoring, I did it without the support of my family. At that time, anchoring was just beginning to take shape as a viable career, and for me, the struggle was twofold — emotional resistance from home and a looming financial crisis. There were days I questioned my decisions, nights when sleep came only after convincing myself to hold on for one more day.
But by the grace of God, things started to turn around. Events came in, performances gained attention, and slowly, my family began to understand — and accept — that this wasn’t just a phase. It was my calling. As the financial stability returned, so did their support, and that made the journey even more meaningful.
The road wasn’t without bumps. I faced tough competition from other anchors who offered their services at incredibly low rates. Clients often raised eyebrows at my pricing, unsure of the value. But time and again, post-event feedback made one thing clear: there’s no substitute for quality. It’s not about just holding a mic — it’s about holding an audience, keeping energy alive, and creating unforgettable moments.
Every stage I’ve stood on has taught me something new. From earning my first big break to buying my own home through anchoring income — it’s been a series of proud milestones. I've had the privilege of sharing the stage with celebrities like Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal. Hosting Foodie Spark Mumbai, a beloved culinary celebration, was another career highlight. And how could I forget the adrenaline rush of anchoring Malwara Fest in Rajasthan in front of a crowd of over 10,000 people?
Today, I’ve expanded my passion into event and wedding planning — combining creativity with execution. But anchoring remains my soul’s language.
As I look ahead, my dream is to carve a lasting identity in the world of anchoring — to be known not just for the events I’ve hosted, but for the memories I’ve helped create. This isn’t just my job. This is my journey, my joy, and my voice to the world.
