The Sound of Dreams
It all started during my school days. I grew up with two lovely sisters, and they were absolute music lovers. I can still remember the constant sound of their radios playing in the background, filling our home with melodies that soon became a part of my life. Music was their passion, and unknowingly, it became mine too.
One fine day, I stumbled upon a song that changed everything for me—"As Your Friend" by Afrojack. It played on a radio show hosted by DJ Ivan and Rohit Barker, and something about that track just clicked. The beats, the energy, the sheer magic of it—it was love at first sound. That moment ignited my passion for music, setting me on a journey I never imagined would become my life’s calling.
Fast forward ten years, and here I am— DJ MadMen and music producer. My journey has been far from easy; I have encountered countless obstacles, but with relentless effort and dedication, I have managed to overcome each one. While I am proud of where I stand today, I know that my best is yet to come, and I have miles to go in the world of music.
Coming from a family that valued stability and security, choosing an unconventional career was not the easiest decision. My parents always believed in the importance of a high-paying, secure job that would ensure a stable future. To honor their wishes, I pursued a career in an reputed MNC in banking sector. But at the same time, I refused to let go of my passion. Balancing both careers has been a challenge, but it has also been the most rewarding experience. I believe in continuous learning and self-improvement, and every single day teaches me a new lesson—one that I will cherish as I move forward.
2018 was a turning point in my career. My gigs were picking up, and I was playing at some of the best nightlife spots across India. Just as everything seemed to be falling into place, the world came to a standstill with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. For a moment, it felt like everything I had worked so hard for would come to an end. But instead of losing hope, I found inspiration. I started watching James Hype’s live streams, admiring the way he continued to bring music to people despite the circumstances. His skills and creativity motivated me to push my boundaries.
When clubs finally reopened, I knew I had to stand out. I began layering my tracks in my sets using multiple CDJs—a technique that took many by surprise. Seeing the stunned reactions of people who recognized what I was doing was a moment of triumph. It reassured me that I was on the right path, and I have continued to push my limits ever since. Today, I perform every weekend at two of Bangalore’s best nightclubs while also taking on freelance gigs across India.
Among my biggest achievements is seeing people truly enjoy my music, whether it's in a club or through my mixtapes, which have been featured on multiple radio shows worldwide. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing that my sound has reached corners of the world I have yet to explore.
As for the future, my dreams are far from small. I aspire to have my tracks signed by some of my favorite labels, play at some of the most iconic venues, and, most importantly, perform at two of the biggest music festivals—EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival, Miami. These are the stages where legends are made, and I am determined to be one of them.
