The Heartfelt Tale of Bas Itna Sa Khwab

At the age of 15, I began my career in the entertainment industry with a minor role in the TV show "Saat Phere" on Zee TV. Afterwards, I decided to focus on completing my education.

After finishing my studies, I worked various jobs for a few years, but none of them felt right. The struggles in the industry, including the casting couch and other issues, pushed me away from acting. My protective parents also influenced my decision to step back. However, by the age of 21, I realized I needed to give acting one another shot.

I was Aimed to succeed, I groomed myself, lost weight, and went back to auditioning. I worked in "Savdhaan India" and other similar shows. During a show about Haryanvi Kabaddi players, a producer noticed my work and called me later.

At the time when he called me i was doing a show in Pune, I received a call for an audition of a TV serial named Nimki Mukhiya. When I read the script for the show I realized it required a Bihari accent. Initially, I doubted whether I could pull it off but the script's humor and depth convinced me I could do it, and it became a turning point in my career. My performance resonated with the audience, and people began naming their children after my character, Nimki.

After "Nimki Mukhiya," my life changed significantly. I became known for that character, and it brought new challenges of maintaining momentum and living up to expectations.

The biggest achievement for me was inspiring women and even men through my role as Nimki. The impact of my character extended way beyond then the screens, with fans sending messages about how it gave them hope and confidence. Some even credited my role with saving them from extreme decisions like suicide. This kind of impact is more meaningful than any awards or recognition.

I am selective about the projects I take on, ensuring they align with my principles. I focus on being true to myself and delivering my best performance in every role.

Now, my latest show, Bas Itna Sa Khwab, a family drama set in the vibrant city of Kanpur. It’s a heartwarming story that captures the essence of a typical Indian household, where love, dreams, and sacrifices coexist. The story revolves around Avani, the main protagonist, beautifully portrayed by Rashi Thakur. Avani is a woman who gracefully balances the demands of housework while chasing her dreams. She embodies the spirit of countless women who prioritize their family’s happiness over their own desires.

My character, Shagun is the one who stirs the pot and keeps things interesting! Shagun is the main antagonist of the show, and I must say, playing her has been an exciting challenge. What drew me to this role was how relatable Shagun feels. She’s not your typical villain; in fact, I believe she’s just a woman with a story that many can understand. Shagun didn’t receive the love and value she deserved as a daughter, which shaped her bold, outspoken, and self-centered personality.

She believes in putting herself first—a trait that I think resonates with the idea of self-love, which is so important in life. Of course, she’s also dramatic, unpredictable, and loves stirring up a little chaos, which I’m sure you’ll enjoy watching!

So, join me in exploring this emotional rollercoaster of relationships, dreams, and drama. Tune in to Bas Itna Sa Khwab every evening at 7 PM on Zee TV and Zee5. I promise you’ll love the journey of Avani, Shagun, and the rest of the family!
