The Story of India's First Ms. Universal Petite
I've always dreamt of becoming a doctor, but my passion for life and its many facets drove me to explore a variety of interests. Whether it was dancing, singing, painting, playing the violin, acting, or stepping into the world of pageantry, each experience taught me something new and revealed a deeper connection between all my pursuits. Little did I know that pageantry would become the transformative journey of my life.
In 2019, my path took an unexpected turn. I was diagnosed with benign tumors in my ovaries and uterus, and the news shattered my world. The open surgery that followed forced me to make the heartbreaking decision to step away from Miss India, just when my dreams seemed within reach. It was a profound setback, leaving me questioning the future I had envisioned for myself.
However, time has a way of revealing our inner strength. My determination and perseverance became my guiding light. Slowly but surely, I began to rebuild and reignite my passions. Today, I proudly wear the title of Ms. Universal Petite 2024, a journey that has brought the first crown to India in this prestigious pageant. The road has been anything but easy, but it has been worth every step.
Pageantry, like life itself, is a roller coaster of highs and lows. Balancing the intense responsibilities that come with being a titleholder—managing tasks, attending trainings, traveling, and the immense pressure of representing India—while caring for my patients as a doctor has been nothing short of challenging. Yet, through consistency and unwavering dedication, I’ve navigated this journey and found the success I sought.
The future holds endless possibilities, and as the reigning Ms. Universal Petite, I know my responsibilities extend beyond the crown. My ultimate goal, as both a doctor and a pageant queen, is to advocate for health and wellness in our communities. I believe in using my platform to make a difference, whether it's promoting holistic well-being or inspiring others to follow their dreams, no matter how daunting the path may seem.
During my journey, I have been recognized for several achievements. Beyond being crowned Ms. Universal Petite 2024, I’ve proudly represented India’s rich cultural heritage, performing Bharatnatyam in various countries. I also run an NGO called 'Shrama', which allows me to give back to the community in meaningful ways. As a doctor, this holds immense significance for me, combining my medical expertise with my desire to uplift those in need.
In every challenge I've faced, I dared to follow my dreams. And through every setback, I've emerged stronger, more determined, and more inspired to continue this journey. My story is proof that with resilience, passion, and purpose, we can rise above any obstacle and fulfill the dreams that fuel our hearts.
