More Than Music

It’s been eight years since I stepped into this world — the world of DJing. What began as something fun has turned into a life-defining passion. Back then, I didn’t know much. I started small, with barely anything but curiosity and love for music. But as time went on, I learned — not just how to mix and play, but how to express myself, how to stand tall with confidence, and how to find my voice in a world that doesn’t always hand you a mic.

I’ve always been a music head. But the real switch flipped during a trip that changed everything. It was the first time I heard a Tomorrowland set by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The energy, the connection, the way the crowd moved as one — it hit different. I got goosebumps, and in that moment, something clicked inside me. A fire lit up. And I just knew: this is what I’m meant to do.

Of course, the beginning was tough. Convincing my parents was the first real challenge. DJing wasn’t something they saw as a ‘real’ career — and honestly, I can’t blame them. It’s not the easiest path to explain. But once they gave me their support, I packed up and moved to Bangalore, enrolling in TheMusicsCool. That phase of life was intense — late nights, endless hours of practice, and learning to stand on my own in a new city. Every day brought new lessons, and every gig, no matter how small, was a stepping stone.

In this field, getting that first breakthrough is tough. You have to prove yourself — again and again. In the early days, gigs were rare. And when they came, they weren’t always glamorous. But I kept going. I worked on my craft relentlessly. I stayed consistent. I showed up — even when I felt stuck, even when I felt like no one was paying attention. And slowly but surely, doors began to open.

You see, anyone can learn to mix two tracks. That’s not the hard part. The real challenge lies in knowing what to play and when to play it. Imagine a massive crowd — different backgrounds, different vibes, all there for a good time. Your job is to keep them locked in for hours. That takes more than skill — it takes intuition. It’s about reading the room, feeling the energy, and choosing the right track at the right moment. That kind of magic takes years to master, and even now, I feel like I’m still learning.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I know there’s so much more ahead. I’m not just here to spin tracks — I want to create. Produce. Push boundaries. I want to play international stages, take my sound across borders, and connect with people through music in ways I’ve only dreamed of.

This journey has shaped me — not just as an artist, but as a person. And while the beats may change, one thing stays the same: this is only the beginning.
