From Nepal to Spotlight

Ever since I was a little girl growing up in Nepal, dancing has been my first love. I didn’t have access to professional training or dance classes, but that never stopped me. I was completely self-motivated—I would watch TV shows and YouTube videos and teach myself every step, every move. I still remember the first time I ever performed on stage—I was just three years old. It was a local competition in my village, and I won. That moment planted a seed in my heart that would grow stronger with every passing year.

Eventually, I participated in a Nepali dance reality show, and that opportunity changed everything. I won a scholarship for a one-month professional training program in Mumbai. For someone who had never stepped foot outside Nepal on her own, it was a huge deal. That one month in Mumbai opened my eyes to an entirely new world—a world I had only dreamt of.

When I returned to Nepal, I auditioned for Little Master Nepal. Soon after, I got selected to compete in DID (Dance India Dance) Bollywood, and that was one of the biggest highlights of my journey so far. I made it to the top seven contestants. Even though I didn’t win, the experience made me fall in love with performing all over again. It wasn’t just about dancing anymore—I started dreaming bigger.

I’ve always admired Madhuri Dixit and Alia Bhatt. Watching them on screen made me want to be on that same path—to act, to dance, to express. So, I started searching for auditions online. It wasn’t easy. I didn’t know many people, and I wasn’t fluent in Hindi either. But I kept going. Eventually, I got selected for a role in a film featuring Hiten tejwani along with Rudra Soni. I still remember how nervous I was during the mock shoot. But I gave it everything I had, and I got the role.

Living alone in Mumbai has had its challenges. There have been moments of loneliness, self-doubt, and struggle. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself, it’s that my independence is my superpower. I’ve always managed to find strength in solitude, and that’s what has helped me move forward—one step at a time.

Apart from dance and acting, I love doing mimicry. It’s something that brings out the fun side of me and helps me connect with people in a completely different way.

After DID, I moved to India permanently to pursue my dreams. Within a year, I was fortunate enough to land a film project, which felt like a major milestone. Later, I resumed my studies while continuing to audition. My efforts finally paid off when I landed my first television show: Chhathi Maiya Ki Bitiya.

My ultimate goal is to become a well-known and successful actress—someone people recognize, someone whose story inspires others. It hasn’t been easy. Leaving my home country, starting over in a new place, and building everything from scratch has tested me in ways I never imagined. But every moment, every challenge, and every small win has made me who I am today.

And this is just the beginning for me.
